About SunShine Play Therapy
SunShine Play Therapy was set up in 2008 by Ruth Keepence, a qualified Play Therapist since 2008 and social work since 2003.
I hold a Diploma in social work and a Diploma in play therapy.
I am trained in therapeutic life story work, Theraplay and Filiaplay.
My initial experience was in residential and respite
settings for children and adults with learning disabilities, autism and emotional behavioural difficulties.
I then later went on to work for the Local Authority with disability children.
My experience includes assessment of children and carers, individual work with children in placement through counselling and therapeutic work and Children who have ben adopted or experienced other forms of separation or loss. This includes various forms of emotional trauma, abuse or disruption in their lives.
I have experience with children with autism and behavioural difficulties.
I am a member of Play Therapy UK and adhere to the P.T.U.K Practice Conduct and Clinical Governance Procedures.
